140 US troops injured in Iran conflict, Pentagon says
About 140 United States troops have been injured in the ongoing conflict with Iran over the past 10 days, the Pentagon said on Tuesday. Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell disclosed that the majority of the injuries were minor, with 108 service members already returning to duty. He added that eight service members remain severely injured and are receiving the highest level of medical care. The injuries followed retaliatory Iranian rocket and drone attacks that also killed seven U.S. soldiers in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Pentagon Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth stated that today will witness the most intense day of strikes on Iran since the start of Operation Epic Fury, which is progressing with 'overwhelming and unrelenting focus' on its objectives.
