1.6 million Nigerians apply for 30,000 FG paramilitary jobs as screening starts nationwide

Officials are verifying documents submitted after the November 2025 computer-based test and conducting physical checks on height, eyesight, and leg fitness to confirm paramilitary readiness. Jibril stressed the process is strictly merit-based and completely free, warning against any corrupt practices.

This massive applicant surge—averaging about 53 applicants per available slot—highlights intense competition for these stable government jobs amid Nigeria's tough job market. While the free application removes cost barriers, successful candidates must meet strict physical standards.
