The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of ignoring rising poverty and hardship under President Bola Tinubu's administration. In a statement issued Sunday, ADC National Publicity Secretary Bolaji Abdullahi cited independent data showing Nigeria's poverty rate increased from 50% to 63% since subsidy removal. The party referenced survey findings that 93% of Nigerians believe the country is heading in the wrong direction, with 82% lacking sufficient food and 82% without medical care. ADC also highlighted fuel price surges (₦255 to ₦1,500/liter) and food import bill increases (₦3.83T to ₦7.65T) as evidence of failed policies. The opposition urged the government to prioritize citizen welfare over political attacks.
