ADC clarifies Court of Appeal ruling does not affect leadership
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has stated that the Court of Appeal's recent judgment does not impact its current leadership structure. National Publicity Secretary Bolaji Abdullahi clarified via X that the ruling was purely procedural and did not resolve the substantive dispute regarding the party's leadership. The appeal, filed by National Chairman Senator David Mark against the emergence of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola as National Secretary, remains pending before the Federal High Court. The court ordered parties to maintain the status quo while the substantive suit is determined. The ADC urged members not to be misled by misinterpretations, reaffirming its commitment to unity despite claims of anti-democratic efforts to impose one-party rule.
