Ralph Nwosu, former ADC national chairman, confirms the party will proceed with congresses and national convention scheduled for April 14, 2026, despite leadership problems and INEC's position. The party claims they've submitted their program to INEC as required by law and received approval for all dates.

According to Nwosu, congresses have already started nationwide, and the national convention will proceed as planned where they will review and confirm all election preparation work. The party leadership has decided to continue moving forward despite INEC's concerns.

ADC plans to keep INEC informed about candidate selection processes for the 2027 elections and will share updates with Nigerian media if INEC objects. This statement comes amid ongoing leadership tensions within the party and disagreements with the electoral commission.

With the national convention just five days away, will ADC be able to resolve its internal leadership problems and present a unified front for the 2027 general elections?
