He said the ADC had originally sought a broad alliance to strengthen its challenge against President Bola Tinubu's APC, but after Peter Obi and Rabi’u Kwankwaso moved to the Nigeria Democratic Congress, the focus shifted. Abdullahi explained that ongoing talks among opposition parties now centre on cooperation in specific areas—especially election monitoring and vote‑protection protocols—rather than agreeing on a single presidential candidate.
