ADCadopts consensus model for congresses, sets March-April schedule
The African Democratic Congress (ADC), led by Nafiu Bala Gombe, has adopted a consensus model for electing party executives ahead of its congresses and national convention. This decision aims to strengthen unity, inclusiveness, and internal cohesion within the party. The Board of Trustees (BOT) and National Working Committee (NWC) announced the consensus approach aligns with the party's constitution and Electoral Act 2026 (as amended). Interested members can join the party during registration from March 14-25, 2026, at ward offices to collect membership cards. Existing members do not need to renew. Ward congresses will occur March 19, local government congresses March 24, state congresses March 28, and the national convention April 3-5. Issues from congresses will be resolved April 6-10. The party disassociated from unofficial electronic registration, urging members to await the official digital platform rollout.
