Anthony Placid Appointed Nigeria Police FPRO, Replacing Hundeyin

Anthony Placid, a Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), has been appointed as the new Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) of the Nigeria Police Force, replacing Benjamin Hundeyin who was removed after six months in the role. The appointment was made by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Tunji Disu. Placid, born December 2, 1970, in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, brings extensive experience spanning administration, operations, intelligence, training, and international peacekeeping. He holds degrees in Geography, Law, and Diplomacy, and has served in key roles including spokesperson for Adamawa police command, Chief of Training for the African Union Mission in Sudan, and Assistant Commissioner of Police in Akwa Ibom and Kogi states. Concurrently, the police established a New Media Office headed by Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Ali Giwa to manage social media activities. Placid can be contacted at 07031179186.
