The All Progressives Congress (APC) has supported Independent National Electoral Commission's decision to withdraw recognition from rival African Democratic Congress (ADC) factions led by former Senate President David Mark and Nafiu Bala Gombe. INEC announced it will no longer recognize either faction after reviewing a Court of Appeal ruling, removing Mark faction names from its official portal while maintaining status quo pending Federal High Court decision. APC spokesperson Felix Morka denied involvement, blaming the crisis on the Mark leadership for ignoring party constitution in assuming control. "You orchestrate the hijack of the ADC by that executive," Morka stated. The Mark faction rejected INEC's position, accusing the commission of acting under external pressure. This affects ADC's status as a recognized political party in Nigeria's electoral process.
