Speaking during an APC media chat on Wednesday, Yilwatda said the committees would be designed to accommodate all interests within the party at state level, while strengthening supervision of internal activities. “We ask all the states to set up committees that cover all interests of everybody in the states to manage internal processes and supervise activities,” he said. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1524595905268-5'); }); He explained that the committees would work alongside intervention teams deployed from both within and outside the states to guide the congress process, noting that the party is also developing and publishing guidelines for the conduct of congresses and the selection of candidates for elective positions. “We have teams coming from inside and from outside, these are part of the guidelines already put in place,” he added. Yilwatda further stated that the framework includes mechanisms for managing internal conflicts and ensuring broad stakeholder representation, including government officials, national leaders and former office holders. “We are ensuring that everyone’s interest is covered, the government, party members, national leaders, former governors, and other key figures. This will allow proper internal monitoring and supervision, even of those selected to conduct the congresses,” he said.
