APC primaries: Tinubu wins with 10.99 million votes, defeats Osifo

President Bola Tinubu has been declared the APC presidential candidate after winning the party's primary election with 10.99 million votes. Tinubu defeated his only challenger, Stanley Osifo, who secured just 16,504 votes nationwide.

The breakdown shows Tinubu's strongest performance in Lagos State with 814,988 votes, followed closely by Adamawa (644,149) and Kaduna (618,914). Imo (582,960), Kano (500,852), and Katsina (467,003) also delivered significant support. The Federal Capital Territory recorded 36,103 votes for Tinubu.

All 36 states and FCT reported results, showing consistent support across geopolitical zones. The landslide victory positions Tinubu as the clear frontrunner for the 2027 presidential election, with the APC leadership expressing confidence in his ability to lead the party to victory.
