Apostle Sam Pamilerin acknowledges pre-marital sexual relationships, apologizes for congregational misconduct allegations
Apostle Sam Pamilerin of Elijah Generation Church acknowledged allegations of sexual relationships with female congregation members between 2019 and 2026, including shortly before his wedding, and apologized for the misconduct. The women, citing leaked WhatsApp conversations, accused him of maintaining sexual relationships, showing little remorse, believing no one could hold him accountable, and manipulating and indoctrinating some members, which prompted some to leave the church while others stayed after believing he had repented only to discover the behavior continued.
In a Facebook statement published on Monday, October 5, 2026, Pamilerin stated he deeply regretted the pre-marital sexual relationships and confirmed he had stepped back from public ministry and social media to reflect, seek counsel, and address past issues. He apologized to the women involved, his wife, family, church, colleagues, and everyone who had looked to him for spiritual guidance, accepting full responsibility while noting these events occurred before his marriage.
Pamilerin pledged to conduct himself with greater integrity, responsibility, and accountability going forward, emphasizing that repentance requires changed conduct and willingness to accept consequences. He said he remains subject to appropriate spiritual, pastoral, and professional accountability throughout this process and requested prayer for humility to face his actions honestly rather than for excuse.
