Arsenal has dismissed head doctor Zafar Iqbal shortly after their Champions League final defeat to Paris Saint-Germain, and is also set to lose Under-21s head coach Max Porter. The Gunners made these decisions following a season plagued by numerous injuries to key players, despite coming close to achieving a historic Premier League and Champions League double.

Iqbal, who celebrated with the team when they received the Premier League trophy at Selhurst Park just weeks ago, has been relieved of his responsibilities. The timing of his dismissal suggests a connection to the club's injury issues during the campaign. Meanwhile, Porter, highly regarded in north London, will depart after nine years of service to join Stoke City in a similar role with Mark Robins' backroom staff.

Porter joined Arsenal in July 2017 and progressed through various youth coaching roles before becoming Under-21s manager last summer. His departure represents significant personnel changes for the Gunners with several months remaining before the new season begins. Arsenal, who narrowly missed out on silverware, appears to be reorganizing their medical and coaching structures as they prepare for next season. Will these changes address Arsenal's injury concerns, or are they simply reacting to disappointment after falling short of the double?
