Arsenal Women have confirmed the signing of 19‑year‑old German winger Lisa Baum from RB Leipzig, making her the fifth summer addition to the women's squad. Baum signed a contract that runs until 2029 with an option for an extra year after weeks of negotiation. She joins fellow new arrivals Ona Batlle, Geraldine Reuteler, Selina Cerci and Georgia Stanway at the North London club.

Baum, who moved to Leipzig in 2024 after a spell with Hamburger SV, made an immediate impact in the Bundesliga and is expected to add quality to the wide positions under head coach Renee Slegers. Speaking on the club's website, Baum said she is thrilled to join a prestigious club and eager to challenge herself against the best. Clare Wheatley, Director of Women's Football, praised Baum as one of Europe's most highly regarded young wingers and said the environment at Arsenal is ideal for her growth.

The signing signals Arsenal's intent to strengthen its women's side as it competes domestically and in Europe. Baum's youth and Bundesliga experience could provide depth and creativity on the flanks.

Will Baum's arrival give Arsenal the edge in the Women's Super League title race, or will she need time to adapt to the English game?
