Arsenal's Gabriel wanted last penalty against PSG in UCL final loss
Arsenal lost the UEFA Champions League final to Paris Saint-Germain on penalties after a 1-1 draw following 120 minutes on Saturday. Defender Gabriel Magalhães, who missed his penalty kick, wanted to take the last penalty for Arsenal, according to manager Mikel Arteta. "Gabriel wanted to take the last penalty. We trained for that moment," Arteta said as quoted by Fabrizio Romano. Gabriel and Eberechi Eze were the two Arsenal players who missed their penalties, while Kai Havertz and Ousmane Dembélé scored the goals during normal time. Gabriel has been impressive for Arsenal this season, helping them win the Premier League title ahead of Manchester City. The defeat means Arsenal lost their first Champions League final despite domestic success.
