Former Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan blasted the Black Stars' performance after their 1-0 loss to Colombia eliminated them from the 2026 World Cup Round of 32 on Saturday. Ghana opened the tournament with a 1-0 win over Panama and drew 0-0 with England, but lost 2-1 to Croatia before falling to Colombia.

Despite qualifying as one of the best third-place teams, Gyan expressed frustration on SuperSport, saying the team showed no urgency while losing and should have maintained the approach that worked against England. He questioned the tactical changes throughout the tournament.

The elimination reduces Africa's representation to just two teams in the Round of 16, highlighting ongoing challenges for Ghana's football program at the World Cup level.

Gyan's criticism raises questions about coaching decisions and team mentality when stakes are highest in international competition.
