Atiku aide accuses APC of manufacturing votes as 'dress rehearsal for rigging'
Paul Ibe, media aide to Atiku Abubakar, has accused the APC of manufacturing vote counts during its presidential primary election, claiming the 10+ million votes for Tinubu served as 'dress rehearsal for rigging in 2027.' Ibe made these remarks during an appearance on Arise Television's Prime Time, contrasting APC's process with ADC's primary where Atiku received 1,855,787 votes. 'We are not doing that in the ADC that are manufacturing figures as a dress rehearsal for possible rigging in 2027, that's why they are talking about 11 million votes; how? Those are manufactured figures,' Ibe stated. The ADC claims their process was free, fair, and credible with NEC monitoring throughout the primaries. 'That is exactly what has happened. The process has been open and transparent,' Ibe emphasized, adding 'until those allegations are substantiated with evidence, they remain mere allegations.' This political positioning comes amid preparations for Nigeria's 2027 presidential election.
