Atiku declares 'era of propaganda over' urges Nigerians to vote against Tinubu in 2027
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, ADC presidential candidate, warns President Tinubu that "the era of complacency, deception and propaganda is over" in Nigeria. Atiku charged citizens to use their ballot against Tinubu in the 2027 election, stating: "Nigerians have endured extraordinary hardship because they are resilient people. But resilience should never be mistaken for weakness."
The former VP argued that a government unable to guarantee security, create opportunities, stabilize the economy, or protect citizens' dignity has no moral basis for another term. "The signs are everywhere," he claimed, "Nigerians are asking hard questions, demanding accountability, refusing to be distracted by slogans."
Atiku emphasized that democracy provides Nigerians with "the most powerful weapon in the hands of the people" through the ballot box. "Power belongs to the people," he stressed, "not to political parties or incumbents." He urged citizens to "organize, mobilize, participate, and vote" rather than just complain.
With the 2027 election approaching, Atiku positioned himself as offering alternative leadership amid widespread discontent over insecurity, joblessness, and economic hardship under Tinubu's administration. The question for Nigerian voters is whether to reward current leadership with another term or seek change through the ballot.
