Bandits threaten Kungaboku, Paze FCT communities, residents flee
Bandits issued coordinated attack threats against Kungaboku and Paze communities in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), prompting mass evacuations. A letter allegedly found in a pupil's school bag at a private school in Paze warned of attacks to avenge their commander's killing. Residents fled after the threat spread rapidly through community groups and social media. This follows a March 7 rescue operation where troops freed 19 kidnapped victims from Paze and Kungaboku, killing one bandit during the operation. Police interrogated the pupil, parents, teacher, and school authorities after discovering the letter. Kungaboku and Paze near Byazhin have experienced recent violent attacks.
