Barco to Join Chelsea After £8.7M Strasbourg Season
Argentinian midfielder Valentin Barco, 21, will join Chelsea in the summer transfer window after agreeing personal terms with the club. The deal sees the £8.7 million signing move from RC Strasbourg, where he impressed this season. Barco had already verbally committed to the move, with Strasbourg reportedly allowing him to leave. The only question now is whether he'll get sufficient playing time under Chelsea's new manager Xabi Alonso next season. The 21-year-old joined Strasbourg on a permanent deal last summer under BlueCo ownership before this transfer.
