Beta Glass names Timothy Ononiwu as new CFO from July 1, 2026
Beta Glass Plc has appointed Mr. Timothy Ononiwu as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective July 1, 2026. He succeeds Mrs. Helene Paradisi, who resigned but will remain with the company until December 2026 to support the transition and specific strategic projects. The announcement, made in a June 26 statement signed by the company secretary, highlights the board’s aim to ensure continuity in financial leadership while sustaining the company’s growth strategy.
Ononiwu brings more than 30 years of finance, corporate leadership and business transformation experience from the energy and infrastructure sectors. He holds a BSc in Accounting from New Jersey City University and an MBA in Finance and International Business from Columbia Business School. His senior roles include CFO at Axxela Limited for seven years, and positions at BBVA Securities and Geometric Power Limited.
The appointment comes as Beta Glass navigates a tougher operating environment. For Q1 2026, revenue fell to ₦37.54 billion from ₦41.16 billion in the same period of 2025, profit after tax dropped 21.48% to ₦7.85 billion (from ₦9.99 billion), and earnings per share slipped to ₦13.08 from ₦16.66. Despite the dip, Beta Glass remains one of Nigeria’s leading glass manufacturers, and the board expects the new CFO to strengthen financial strategy, capital allocation and long‑term growth.
What should shareholders and investors watch? How Ononiwu’s background in capital management and business transformation will shape the company’s financial decisions and help reverse the earnings trend.
