BPP launches community-based procurement to track federal lawmakers' projects
Federal lawmakers' constituency projects will now be monitored through a community-based procurement system approved by President Tinubu. The Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) will deploy local procurement officers in each local government area to track project progress and ensure contractors deliver as awarded. This initiative aims to reduce corruption and improve implementation of N3.3 trillion worth of saved funds since 2009. Local contractors will also benefit from simplified registration processes to execute government contracts.
