Brighton signs Nigerian winger Femi Azeez from Millwall on four-year deal

Brighton & Hove Albion have completed the signing of Super Eagles winger Femi Azeez from Championship club Millwall on a four-year contract for an undisclosed fee. The deal was submitted before the 11pm Tuesday deadline and extended to 1am Wednesday to finalize the transfer. Azeez made 77 appearances for Millwall, scoring 15 goals and providing 13 assists, and was named in both the PFA and EFL Championship Teams of the Season for 2025/26.

The 25-year-old has also represented Nigeria at senior level, scoring both goals in a 2-0 debut win over Zimbabwe in June and assisting in the 3-0 Victory Cup triumph over Jamaica four days later. He becomes the second Nigerian currently at Brighton this season after Zadok Yohanna’s signing from AIK Stockholm earlier.

Azeez joins a Brighton squad aiming to build on their Premier League status, adding depth to their attacking options. His experience in the Championship and recent international form could see him compete for a starting spot on the wings.
