China's 15th Five-Year Plan and Ecological and Environmental Code establish frameworks for high-quality, sustainable growth while meeting Paris Agreement commitments. The ambassador emphasized China's role in global environmental governance and South-South partnerships through initiatives like the Belt and Road and the Three-North Shelterbelt model applied in Africa's Great Green Wall Initiative.
