China urges US, Israel to cease fire in Iran strikes

China's government called for an immediate ceasefire in the US-Israeli attacks on Iran, expressing concern over violations of Iran's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Its foreign ministry stated Iran's security must be respected. Simultaneously, China's embassy in Israel advised Chinese citizens in Israel to evacuate to safer areas or leave via the Taba border crossing to Egypt. Citizens in Iran were urged to depart immediately through four land routes to Azerbaijan, Armenia, Turkey, and Iraq. The strikes reportedly killed Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, prompting China's state media to condemn the attack as 'brazen aggression' violating UN principles. Cathay Group suspended Middle East operations, rerouting flights to Dubai and Riyadh due to regional tensions.
