Chukwueze demands Super Eagles treat Mozambique like AFCON final
Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze has issued three demands to teammates ahead of Monday night's AFCON Round of 16 clash against Mozambique in Morocco. The Fulham star urged respect for their opponents, warning that Mozambique is 'not a small team in Africa' and features players from top European clubs. 'We've to give them the respect they deserve, and they've fantastic players who play in some of the big clubs,' Chukwueze told reporters. He added that Nigeria must 'face them the way they're going to face us' and 'give everything as if it's the final.' Chukwueze was impressive in Nigeria's last AFCON match against Uganda, providing two assists in that encounter. The AC Milan loanee's message comes as Super Eagles target a record 18th quarter-final appearance. Mozambique's coach has claimed their president knows they can beat Nigeria, adding pressure to the fixture. Will Chukwueze's warnings motivate the Super Eagles to approach this knockout tie with the required intensity, or does Mozambique's confidence signal a potential upset?
