Darazo urges Nigeria's elder statesmen to support Tinubu's peace agenda
Bauchi-based political leader Khamis Musa Darazo has called on Nigeria's elder statesmen to support President Tinubu's peace-building efforts. Darazo specifically appealed to TY Danjuma, Olusegun Obasanjo, Ibrahim Babangida, Yakubu Gowon, and Abdulsalami Abubakar to lend their experience and influence to the Renewed Hope Agenda's security initiatives. Describing these figures as 'Guardians of Nigeria's history, unity, and statecraft,' Darazo emphasized their critical role in guiding the nation through uncertainty. He noted that while President Tinubu prioritizes peace-building, sustainable stability requires collaboration between past and present leaders. 'Their collective voice carries moral authority and will strengthen public confidence in the government's security initiatives,' Darazo stated. He stressed that peace is a shared responsibility achievable only through reconciliation and a common national purpose.
