Former Bayelsa Governor Seriake Dickson stated that the PDP no longer exists as he knew it, expressing disappointment over its decline from its former glory. He emphasized that it's inaccurate to say he and others are leaving the party, instead asserting that the PDP left them. Dickson lamented the party's loss of original ideals and structure, contrasting its past electoral successes with its current state. He recalled joining the PDP after leaving the Alliance for Democracy and becoming a key figure, noting that the party he once knew has been 'killed and buried.' The former governor highlighted the PDP's history of producing three successive presidents but stated whatever remains cannot compare to its former self.
