Dino Melaye: Peter Obi fantastic but not fit for presidency
Former Kogi West Senator Dino Melaye has declared ex-Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi is a "fantastic Nigerian" but lacks the ability to unify Nigeria. Speaking on Channels Television, Melaye stated Obi "does not have what it takes" to become president despite his repeated declarations to contest the 2027 poll. Melaye, who lost the Kogi State governorship election under PDP in 2023, emphasized Obi's personal qualities while questioning his presidential suitability. The comments come as PDP factions prepare for the 2027 election season.
