The International Human Rights Commission – Relief Fund Trust (IHRC-RFT) Nigeria Chapter has warned that drug abuse could ruin young people's security careers. Director Abdullahi Bakoji Adamu stated security agencies now conduct mandatory drug and substance tests at recruitment, promotion, and deployment stages, including peacekeeping missions. Any positive test results in automatic disqualification from opportunities. The organization advised youths to avoid drugs, narcotics, and even certain energy drinks that may affect screening results. Parents were urged to guide children, educate them on dangers, and promote healthy lifestyles to protect their futures.
