Experts warn this growing threat undermines rule of law and endangers innocent lives.
Amnesty International Nigeria's Isa Sunusi told DAILY POST that government must investigate every mob violence incident and prosecute perpetrators, stressing that while current laws are sufficient, enforcement needs significant improvement. IHRC-RFT's Abdullahi Bakoji Adamu condemned jungle justice as a "grave violation of human rights" insisting justice must come only from competent courts, not mobs. Lawyer Ibrahim Kiyawa clarified that Nigerian law requires reporting suspicions to security agencies, not taking justice into one's own hands.
