In a statement issued on Saturday in Abakaliki, the State Chairman of the party, Dr. Mrs. Jennifer Adibe Nwafor, described the rumours as unfounded and aimed at creating disaffection within the party’s ranks. According to her, the party is determined to champion credible leadership that would reflect the will and welfare of the Nigerian people, noting that its collective aspiration to reposition the country remains unwavering. She further called on members and supporters to disregard divisive rumours and remain vigilant, warning against misinformation capable of undermining party cohesion. “Our leaders are not abandoning the ADC. We are here to stay, to fight for democracy, and to ensure the emergence of a government that truly reflects the will of the people,” she stated. The chairman urged party members to close ranks and strengthen grassroots mobilisation efforts as part of preparations for future electoral engagements. She reiterated that unity within the party would be critical to achieving its broader objective of national renewal and democratic consolidation.
