Erdogan: Iran War Must Be Halted Before Region Burns
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan warned Wednesday that the conflict triggered by attacks on Iran must be stopped before it expands and engulfs the entire region in flames. Erdogan stressed diplomacy remains the path to de-escalation, stating "If diplomacy is given a chance, it is entirely possible to achieve this." While addressing his party in parliament, he confirmed Türkiye continues diplomatic initiatives to return to negotiations and bring diplomacy back into play. Ankara is also taking precautions against sectarian conflict and other destabilizing scenarios in the region.
