Ex-envoy: Nigeria doesn't need new MoUs, harness existing ones

Former Nigerian Ambassador to Ireland, Ijeoma Obiezu, says Nigeria doesn't need new MoUs with the UK. Speaking on Arise TV's 'Prime Time', she argued existing agreements should be practicalized for mutual benefit. Her comments follow UK-Nigeria's signing of three MoUs during President Tinubu's UK visit. Obiezu emphasized harnessing current deals over new ones, stating, 'We need to look for a way to really practicalize them.' She also addressed immigration, saying Nigerians should only travel where they have papers to avoid embarrassment. The ex-diplomat stressed making Nigeria conducive for livelihood as the essence of life.
