The Federal University of Technology, Akure has released the approved undergraduate academic calendar for the 2025/2026 academic session as follows.

Monday 17th November 2025: Registration portal opens Sunday 23rd November 2025: Online registration commences for all undergraduates Monday 24th November 2025: Arrival date for all students (both fresh and returning) Monday 24th November 2025: Physical registration commences Monday 24th to Friday 8th December 2025: Lecture commences for returning students Monday 4th to Friday 8th December 2025: Orientation for fresh students Monday 4th to Monday 23rd December 2025: Late registration ends Tuesday 22nd December 2025: Christmas break begins Sunday 4th January 2026: Christmas break ends Monday 5th January 2026: Lectures resume Monday 26th January 2026: Matriculation ceremony Friday 20th February 2026: Lectures end Monday 23rd February to Friday 27th February 2026: Lecture-free week Monday 2nd to Saturday 14th March 2026: First semester examinations Monday 23rd March to Saturday 18th April 2026: First semester break Summary: 12 weeks of lectures, 1 week lecture-free and 3 weeks of examinations Total: 16 weeks
