FederalHigh Court CJ summoned over undeclared bank accounts
Nigeria's Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) has summoned Chief Judge John Tsoho to respond to allegations his asset declaration form omitted several bank accounts. The CCB alleges Tsoho's 29 April 2024 declaration failed to disclose three commercial bank accounts (naira and domiciliary) as legally required. The judicial officer is expected to appear before the bureau by Monday to address these claims. This development follows nearly two years after the Court of Appeal acquitted former CJN Samuel Onnoghen of similar asset declaration charges. Tsoho, appointed Chief Judge in December 2019, is a member of the National Judicial Council. The case remains an allegation until proven by the judicial body.
