Fenerbahçe expect Osimhen to stay at Galatasaray until 2029
Mahmut Uslu, proposed board member for Fenerbahçe presidential candidate Aziz Yıldırım, acknowledged clubs would desire Victor Osimhen but believes the Nigerian striker won't join Istanbul rivals. Uslu stated: 'Who wouldn't desire a player like Osimhen? However, he will not be joining us. His future destinations are evident.' Osimhen had an exceptional season at Galatasaray, helping secure Süper Lig victory with 59 goals and 16 assists in 74 appearances. Galatasaray triggered his €75 million release clause last summer, making him the most expensive player ever acquired by a Turkish club. He's under contract with the Lions until June 2029. Uslu revealed Fenerbahçe will build a squad capable of competing against Osimhen's Galatasaray, saying: 'We will construct a squad that can counter a team featuring Osimhen. If we make Kadıköy invincible, we will be champions.' Despite his current contract, Osimhen has been linked with European clubs including Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, and Arsenal.
