Federal Government announces repatriation flights for Nigerians stranded in Qatar and Iran will resume once regional airspace reopens. Chairperson Abike Dabiri-Erewa stated this in response to stranded citizens' complaints about being left behind while other nationalities evacuate. Nigerians in Qatar face passport restrictions preventing Saudi visas, while those in Iran are being escorted across the Armenian border by embassy officials. Airspace closures since February 28th due to Iran-Israel-US conflict have trapped travellers. Evacuation flights from UAE to Lagos occurred just before the latest airspace closure. Multi-agency FGN crisis team stands ready once skies reopen. No Nigerians in Iran affected by conflict as embassy remains at border. Willing evacuees in Iran being escorted to Armenia for safe passage.
