FG works to resettle IDPs to ancestral homes

Federal Government says IDP camps are temporary settlements. Minister Bernard Doro stated on Arise TV that permanent resettlement requires peace restoration. "IDP Camps should be temporary. But to resettle people back at their homes, peace has to return," Doro said. "We are working alongside the Office of the National Security Adviser to secure ancestral homes. Displacement is driven by ongoing crises. Resettlement without peace would be futile. Plans are being developed with security organizations to facilitate safe return," the minister added. This addresses the need for peace and security before resettlement can occur.
