FIFA World Cup 2026 champions to receive custom championship rings
FIFA has introduced a new tradition for the 2026 World Cup: champions will receive custom championship rings alongside the traditional trophy and gold medals. The rings are part of a limited edition of 2,026 individually numbered pieces, with 30 reserved for the winning team’s players and staff and the remaining 1,996 sold globally as official licensed merchandise. Each ring features the FIFA World Cup Trophy on one side and is customized to reflect the winning nation’s identity on the other, complete with a certificate of authenticity.
The presentation will occur in two stages. Immediately after the final whistle on Sunday, 19 July 2026 at New York New Jersey Stadium, the winning team’s captain and head coach will receive temporary rings during on‑field celebrations. The permanent, custom‑fitted rings will be delivered later at a separate ceremony.
