France, UK Welcome US-Iran Deal, Urge Full Implementation for Hormuz Strait Opening

Prime Minister Keir Starmer of the United Kingdom described the accord as "a hugely important step forward" toward ending conflict, ensuring regional stability and keeping the Hormuz Strait permanently open. He urged total implementation of the memorandum of understanding to guarantee toll‑free freedom of navigation, which would ease economic pressures on families worldwide. Starmer promised continued UK participation in defensive and independent multilateral missions, including mine‑clearing, and reiterated that Iran must never acquire a nuclear weapon, stressing that Tehran’s commitments must be robust, verifiable and fully carried out.
