FUW Bans Graduation Sign Out Activities Immediately Over Safety Concerns
Federal University Wukari has banned all student sign out activities effective immediately, citing safety and security concerns. The prohibition, issued June 26, 2026, covers traditional graduation celebrations including signing on T-shirts, dancing, processions within and outside classrooms, parties around campus gates and along the Katsina-Ala-Jalingo highway, as well as convoys and money spraying. University security personnel are directed to strictly enforce the ban with prompt reporting of violations.
The directive, approved by the university's Senate during its May 26, 2026 meeting, applies to all students, groups, and associations organizing or participating in these activities.
