Ghana head coach Carlos Queiroz said he has not yet decided on his future after the Black Stars' 1-0 loss to Colombia in the Round of 32 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The match, played at Kansas City Stadium in Missouri on Saturday, saw Jhon Arias score in the 14th minute; Ghana failed to register a single shot on target. Queiroz, 73, was appointed in March on a short-term contract following the sacking of Otto Addo. After the defeat he told Sporty TV he would first have a glass of water, rest, and then decide his next steps.

For Ghanaian fans, the early World Cup exit ends hopes of a deep run and raises questions about the team's direction ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. Queiroz's future will shape coaching stability, player morale and preparation for upcoming qualifiers. The Ghana Football Association has not set a timeline for a decision.

Will Queiroz stay on to rebuild the Black Stars ahead of AFCON 2025, or should the GFA start looking for a new coach now?
