Heartland FC ordered to pay coach Uzor N6.4m for unlawful termination
Nigeria National League side Heartland FC must pay coach Charles Uzor N6.4 million compensation for unlawful contract termination, ordered by the Nigeria Football Federation's Players’ Status and Arbitration Committee. Uzor signed a two-year deal on August 1, 2024, at N700,000 monthly salary. His contract was terminated on June 11, 2025, without just cause or proper procedure. Uzor sought N8.4 million for the remaining term but the Committee ruled N6.4 million payment within 45 days is required. Non-compliance triggers transfer and registration bans. This ruling reinforces the NFF's stance on contractual integrity in Nigerian football.
