ID Cabasa: Wisdom isn't tied to age, but competence

Nigerian music executive ID Cabasa argues wisdom shouldn't be determined by age alone. The 50-year-old executive clarified on The Clarity Zone podcast that many people mistake experience for wisdom, noting 'most of the experiences that you are bringing, a lot of them are obsolete.' He emphasized that competence matters more than age, stating 'the assumption that the older you get, the wiser you are is an assumption that has never been true.' Cabasa added that while older people aren't necessarily unwise, respect shouldn't be demanded solely based on age. 'We are dealing with a generation that came with computer OS but you learned how to use computer,' he said, highlighting the need for growth over mere aging.
