INEC registers 3.4m new voters nationwide in ongoing CVR exercise

INEC registers 3,441,121 new voters nationwide in ongoing second phase of Continuous Voter Registration, as of April 3. Registrations include 2,068,384 online and 1,372,737 physical at designated centers across the country.

Jigawa leads with 201,047 registrations (5.84%), followed by Lagos (181,095) and Kano (177,681). Youth aged 18-34 dominate at 68.43% (2,354,768), while women lead participation at 55.86% (1,922,143). Students form largest group at 35.92% (1,235,931), followed by business owners (20.40%) and farming/fishing (18.28%).

INEC captured 48,330 persons with disabilities during the exercise. Figures remain provisional pending data clean-up during claims and objections period. Registration continues through official platforms before the deadline. Have you registered or verified your details?
