Infinix Note 50 price drops to ₦130k in Nigeria July 2026 – should you buy?

The phone features a 6.78‑inch 144Hz AMOLED screen, MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate chipset, 8GB RAM + 256GB storage, a 50MP OIS main camera, 5,200mAh battery with 45W wired and 30W wireless charging, Android 15 with two promised upgrades, and an aluminum frame.
Compared to its successor, the Note 60 (released March 2026), the Note 50 lacks 5G, has a smaller battery (5,200mAh vs 6,500mAh), a less bright screen (1,300 nits vs up to 4,500 nits), a dual‑camera setup instead of an ultrawide, and offers only two Android upgrades versus three on the Note 60. The Note 60 currently ranges from ₦108,000 to ₦190,000 in unofficial listings.
For Nigerian buyers, the Note 50 remains worthwhile only if you can find it at least ₦50,000 cheaper than the Note 60 base model and you can accept 4G connectivity. At that discount you still get an AMOLED 144Hz display, OIS camera, wireless charging, and a solid build. Otherwise, the Note 60’s 5G, larger battery, brighter screen, and longer software support make it the better buy.
