The Initiates Plc (NGX: TIP) paid an interim dividend of 20 kobo (₦0.20) per ordinary share on 31 August 2026 for the half-year ended 30 June 2026, distributing about ₦400 million to shareholders. The payout follows a strong first-half performance: revenue surged 105.1% year-on-year to ₦6.95 billion, and profit after tax reached approximately ₦1.75 billion, compared with no interim dividend in the same period of 2025. Shareholders who owned shares on the qualification date of 10 August 2026 received the payment, which was made electronically via Apel Capital Registrars after the register closed from 11 to 14 August. The company also increased its stake in The Initiates Uganda Limited from 35% to 55% on 5 May 2026, though that investment did not contribute to the current dividend. Initiates Plc says the dividend is part of its broader strategy to originate, promote and partner on waste‑management projects, including public‑private partnerships and waste‑to‑energy initiatives, while continuing to invest in long‑term growth. A final dividend for FY2026 is still under consideration. Shareholders are urged to complete or update their e‑dividend registration with Apel Capital Registrars to ensure timely receipt of future payments.
