Intersociety warns 750m African Christians face existential threat
Civil rights group Intersociety released a report detailing an existential threat to 750 million African Christians, with Nigeria, Congo, DRC and Ethiopia highlighted as particularly dangerous. The report cites 189,300 Christians killed since 2009, including 128,000 specifically targeted, along with 130,000 abducted and 19,500 churches attacked. Nigeria's situation is described as 'Christian Genocide' with 15m displaced Christians and 1200 communities Islamized. Intersociety predicts grave danger from rising Islamic Jihadist groups, warning of 75-100 year projections. The report was signed by Intersociety officials including Emeka Umeagbalasi and Chidinma Udegbunam.
