Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has confirmed a $19,000 payment to Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor, refuting his claim of pro bono legal services for Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. The payment, executed on August 9, 2021, was made via Chase Bank in the US to Ejiofor's Fidelity Bank account in Lagos. IPOB Head Nnennaya Anya stated the funds were for humanitarian and advocacy purposes supporting Kanu's legal defense. Bank statements verify the transaction, including a $50 wire fee. Ejiofor maintains his services were free, but IPOB insists the payment proves otherwise. This disclosure aims to counter misinformation and uphold movement integrity.
